We welcome donations to the Center for the purposes of providing scholarships to students in our Residential Programs, covering the costs of providing our Day Programs, and providing outreach to students throughout the state through the Karnes Ambassadors Program for educators of gifted students. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and a variety of socioeconomic statuses. Scholarships are provided on the basis of need and a student’s scholarship application including references.
Consider one of these giving levels:
- $47.00 in honor of the 47 years we have been dedicated members of The University of Southern Mississippi community.
- $76.00 in honor of the year 1976 when we began serving gifted students at the Center.
- $120.00 covers the cost of one Seminar Course in our Educator Development Program.
- $200.00 covers the cost of one Foundations Course in our Educator Development Program.
- $260.00 covers the tuition costs for one of our Day Programs (Young Gifted Studies, Summer In the Middle, or Saturday Gifted Studies).
- $975.00 covers the costs for one student to attend a one-week residential program (Summer Gifted or Leadership Studies).
- $2600.00 covers the costs for one student to attend the 2-week residential SPAATY program.
Whether you select one of these levels or choose a different amount, you can be assured that your gift is making a difference in the life of a talented young student who needs your support.
